About Me

I am currently a UNIX Tech Admin for a medium sized insurance group located in Waterloo, Ontario where I focus on AIX administration, maintenance and configuration. Previously I worked as a sysadmin for a Genetic Research group in St. John’s, Newfoundland where I administered Linux, AIX and Windows servers as well as Windows and Linux workstations. I have a great interest in UNIX scripting (due mainly to laziness) and strongly believe in automation and keeping up to date with best practices.

I attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where I attained an Honours Information Systems degree. I have a strong technical background with a healthy mix of Business, Earth Sciences and Sociology.

    Hello Admin,

I was going through the tutorial on the site named “How to Install GIT on AIX”.

The tutorial asked me to download a file named “git-git-5bc2dc2″.

What is this file and how and where can I download it?

It did not have an extention too.

    Regards,
    Gautam.
